Get ready to build, explore, and launch!
Join us for an exciting four-day model rocketry camp designed to introduce young scientists and engineers to the world of rocket science through hands-on learning and experimentation.
Throughout the camp, participants will learn the basics of rocketry, forces, motion, aerodynamics, and engineering design while building their very own model rocket. With more than 8 hours of hands-on instruction, campers will have the opportunity to test ideas, make adjustments, solve problems, and experience the excitement of watching their creation take flight.

Meet Your Instructors:
Allison Wofford
Allison is a licensed teacher and lifelong lover of hands-on learning. She grew up building and launching model rockets with her father and has since brought model rocketry to students in a variety of educational settings. She is excited to combine her teaching experience and love of rocketry to bring this hands-on experience to Montrose Children’s Museum.
Patrick Michl
Patrick is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran who served for 20 years, including as a nuclear weapons instructor. A lifelong hobbyist and model builder, Patrick brings extensive hands-on experience with rocketry, engineering, and model construction. He is excited to share his knowledge, enthusiasm, and decades of experience with the next generation of builders and explorers.
