After School Art:
Once Upon a Masterpiece
Ages Pre-K & Elementary | Nov. 4, 11, 18, & 25 | 4:00–5:30 PM
Join us for a creative four-week art series where young artists explore the magical world of children's book illustration through storytelling, artistic discovery, and hands-on projects.
Throughout the series, participants will discover beloved book illustrators, explore different artistic styles and techniques, and create their own original artwork inspired by the stories and illustrations they encounter. From experimenting with color, texture, and composition to bringing imaginative ideas to life, young artists will build creative confidence, develop new skills, and discover the many ways art can tell a story.
With new stories, artists, and projects each week, every class offers a fresh opportunity to explore, experiment, and create a masterpiece of their own!

Forensics Camp:
The Case of the Missing Diamond
Ages 5-11 | Nov. 23 & 25 | 9:00 - 11:30 am
Think like a scientist. Investigate like a detective!
Join Montrose Children's Museum for a two-day, hands-on Forensics Mini Camp where young investigators explore the science of solving mysteries. Campers will learn how to analyze fingerprints, experiment with mystery inks, compare shoe prints, and examine trace evidence.
Then it's time to put those new skills to the test! A giant, sparkling diamond discovered in the museum's sluice box has mysteriously disappeared. On Day 2, campers will work together to investigate the clues, analyze the evidence, and uncover what happened to the missing diamond.
Through exciting experiments, scientific observation, and collaborative problem-solving, campers will discover how forensic scientists use evidence to investigate mysteries.
Two days of clues, experiments, and detective work await!
